About
Biography
Svetlitsa is a visual theater project specializing in LED shows and outdoor theatrical performances. Since 2013, we have combined dance, theater, and technology to create unique shows that engage audiences of all ages.
We are not just LED costumes: we use inflatable stage structures, kinetic elements, original props, and unusual costumes to create vivid experiences tailored to each space.
The project was founded in Moscow and has toured extensively across Russia and Europe. Now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, we bring over ten years of experience performing at festivals, city celebrations, and cultural events. Whether events or street festivals, Svetlitsa invites audiences into its unique world.
Additional booking notes
Each show is unique and may require different technical conditions depending on the venue and performance type. Below is a general list of what we usually need:
1. Space
Flat, clean surface — minimum 13 ft x 13 ft (4 m x 4 m). Ceiling height: at least 13 ft (4 m) if indoors - required due to the height of our props and performance movements.
2. Lighting
If the performance includes LED costumes and light-up props, low light or darkness is essential for the visual effects to be seen clearly. In this case, venue lights should be dimmed or turned off during the show.
3. Sound
Our soundtrack is pre-mixed and can be played from USB.
In some acts, we use programmed lighting effects that must be perfectly synchronized with the music — in such cases, the audio must be played from our laptop. We will need a direct connection to the venue’s audio system via 3.5mm mini-jack (AUX) into the mixing console.
It is highly recommended to have a short call with our technical director before the event to confirm all audio connections.
Amplifiers and sound systems should be appropriate for the size and acoustics of the venue.
4. Power
1–2 standard power outlets near the stage/performance area. For charging LED equipment and sound if needed

Set list
We are a visual performance group and do not perform live music.
Our shows are set to a carefully selected soundtrack, which can be adapted to fit the theme and energy of the event.
Influences and inspiration
Our main influences are James Thierrée and Slava Polunin, whose poetic, physical, and emotionally rich performances have deeply shaped our artistic vision.
We’re also inspired by Cirque du Soleil for its visual storytelling, Blue Man Group for its use of rhythm and technology, and artists like James Turrell and teamLab for their work with light and space.
Our style blends elements of dance, visual theatre, LED technology, and immersive performance to create a unique experience that connects with audiences on a sensory level.
