Sustainable Innovation in Fashion

Founder, Lazlo. Lazlo is focused on the next generation of menswear essentials, made with premium raw materials and the highest social and environmental standards. For our first offering, we chose an American icon, the white t-shirt, to illustrate the power of fashion to impact the world. We custom-developed a luxurious fabric from organic Supima cotton grown, spun and milled domestically. Each garment was made by hand in Detroit by Aaron, who joined us after 22 years in prison. We hired Aaron when he was released and started him at $15 to ensure a living wage. Lazlo is currently developing an expanded collection and is working with local partners to launch a program where marginalized workers will be trained on 21st century apparel production and be able to earn equity in a factory cooperative.
