Susie's Florals

My name is Susie, after my grandmother.
She was the one who showed me how to make things beautiful. She was a great cook, a decorator, a seamstress. You name it and she could make it look like a million bucks.
She remains one of my biggest inspirations.
And my mother who taught me, as long as you love what you are doing, you'll never "work" a day in your life.
I started in a floral shop on Valentine's day and I was hit with Cupid's arrow. I fell head over heels in love with floral design. After a few years doing that, I started doing weddings, and was hit hard with a fresh new love for flowers.
My job is not a job. I work hard, some days feel like they will never end. Blood, sweat and tears go into my work, but I love every minute of it. The moment the bride comes in and sees our displays and her face lights up! That's the reason I grind out 100+ hour work weeks. I live on that feeling of fulfillment.
