Susan Carter Comic

My manager/husband makes sure that I arrive at the venue with plenty of time to spare. I like to check out everything so that the show will run smoothly and will start on time. Typically the show is 40 - 50 minutes in length although I have a 20 minute show and enough material to do two 50 minute sets. Topics can be discussed before the show. My show has innuendo, but is relatively clean (few "swear words" and no graphic descriptions of body parts!). If your show has other entertainment, I would be happy to MC.

The fee quoted includes all expenses.

Susan has been funny ever since her dad repeated her first joke! She decided to share when she turned forty. Working with eighteen-year-old boys at Yuk Yuks Comedy Club and doing volunteer gigs with Church groups around Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta was the beginning of Susan’s Comedy Career.

Susan’s special events include Ladies Nights, Christmas parties, Retirement parties, Weddings and Fundraising. She has worked as a Fringe entertainer, MC, and Speaker. On March 4, 2006, Susan was thrilled to be on the second last taping of the CBC show, “Madly Off In All Directions” with host Lorne Elliott.

A hand held microphone and a good sound system are helpful
A raised stage area is helpful
I like to see my audience to gauge their reactions; so any lighting that accommodates this is great!
*I've done shows where the audience wears face masks for social distancing - it's more difficult to gauge reactions, but it's still do-able!
