It's always amazing to me how only two guys can have such a rich, full-bodied sound! The Super Acoustic Dogs tend to start with a quieter set during prime dining hours, then increase the energy level as the focus turns to the bar. They really know how to "read the crowd" with regard to age and level of engagement, and have a large and varied repertoire which enables them to give the audience what they want to hear! The guys usually play a total of 3 sets, with a short break in between. They start on time, and don't "overextend" their breaks between sets.
A sample set list for a crowd of different generations might include:
Heart of Gold- Neil Young, Mrs Robinson - Simon & Garfunkel, Karma Police - Radiohead,How's it Going to Be -Third Eye Blind, Everything I Own - Bread, Drive - Incubus, Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters, Chicken Fried - Zac Brown Band, City of New Orleans - Arlo Guthrie,Wagon Wheel - Darius Rucker, Rocket Man - Elton John, Goin' to California - Led Zeppelin
(They have also incorporated two frequent crowd requests, Sweet
Caroline and Me and Julio into their repertoire, and usually end up playing either or both at some point during the night... very well received, and really gets the crowd moving and singing along)
The guys have a large and dedicated following, and their energy level and enthusiasm brings a happy vibe to the venue!
