September 9, 2025Sunset Noir provided the perfect sound for our first ever night market in our courtyard. Under our the stars and our new courtyard lights, Monica and her band filled the night with so much life that even patrons from the restaurant from across the plaza were applauding. Every song was perfect and had us all singing along. Can't wait to have them back for another peformance!!

SUNSET NOIR:
Expect some familiar songs to sing along to, but with a twist. We take many pop songs, older classics, and transform them into a jazz tune, bossa nova, or soul, sometimes even with a ragtime feel! We bring a vintage sound to songs new and old. We also perform jazz standards as well as songs from iconic films such as Casablanca, The Departed, and many James Bond films. We have multiple versions of our songs in order to cater to the venue, vibe, and environment. We can give you something more energetic and upbeat, or keep it chill and relaxed.

Monica Remes is a professional vocalist for the trio Sunset Noir as well as the cover/party band The Hit List. Originally from Cary, Illinois, Monica is a multi-faceted creative with specialties in music, dance, acting, film, photography, social media, fitness and yoga! She's been singing ever since she could speak and has professional experience in musical theatre and modern dance. Monica is also a voice actor for video games and has recorded children's songs for Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and commercial jingles in Brazil. She currently performs with both bands as well as starring in jukebox musicals involving dance, vocals, acting, drag, aerial dance, and burlesque. As a professional singer and dancer, Monica can curate events with more than just live music! Need live music with dancers, show girls, drag queens, magicians, or other unique acts?
