Influences and inspiration
I've been mentored by Gary Austin (The Groundlings), Michael Gellman (Second City), Mick Napier (Annoyance Theater), and Jeff Wirth (Interactive Theater). My training with them helped hone my improvisational skills.
- Bill Irwin's versatility and commitment are inspirational. Having an aftershow discussion with Mr. Irwin was mind-enhancing.
- Anne Bogart's (SITI) writing has captured the essence of what it means to be a performer. I hold her book "And Then, You Act" as a pivotal work that fully resonated with me.
- Twyla Tharp for her creative fearlessness.
- Robin Moore for the heart he brings to the study of storytelling.
