Nicole "Strix'' Sparks, is a Charlotte native Aerialist. She began her circus journey in 2017, having no prior experience or training, focusing primarily on Aerial Silks. In the summer of 2018, she found her passion with the Aerial Hoop, now her primary discipline, performing in the student showcase with AerialCLT in 2019. Nicole had the opportunity to perform at the Queen City Anime Convention at their Cirque Du Cosplay show, summer 2019. Taking on the role as Creative Director for their 2021 show and future events for Cirque Du Cosplay. She joined a dynamic group of Fly Black Aerialists, as Admin for this group, she helps organize and performed in virtual showcase's(Summer 2020) She also performed in a virtual showcase with Let Them Eat Cake: Disney Show (summer 2020). She was recruited to the local circus troupe The Nouveau Sud Circus Project (summer 2020) as a Generalist, specializing in Aerial Hoop. Circus is a huge part of her life so it's very rare she is doing much of anything else. She enjoys flow arts, mainly with fire manipulation, vapor tricks, fleshing, ect. She spends her free time perfecting old and new skills. When she is not training, you can find her in her garden, playing around with her dog Flash, and scribbling something in her sketchbook.
Usually bring my own music and sound, unless it's a bigger event and there is a DJ with a system. Lighting only needed if the venue is supplying it. So it would depend on the gig!
