String Field Theory is a band of veteran musicians/songwriters who perform original music and some amazing versions of favorite covers. Their diverse tastes and backgrounds blend into a seamless mix of Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Rock, Blues and Country. They are currently putting finishing details on songs for their first cd, with a mid 2012 release date. String Field Theory is currently booking shows for 2012 and look forward to coming to a fair, festival, private party, coffee house, pub or any other event that wants the best in acoustic entertainment.

String Field Theory is made up of four professionals. Sid is a lifelong farmer/songwriter and he brings a huge level of experience and talent to the group. Dawn is a published author/poet, as well as a trained violinist turned fiddler. Craig is an educator as well as a seasoned songwriter and performer. Brian is a master craftsman and a huge music buff. Together they complete each other and String Field Theory is a unique blend of many styles of music, including Bluegrass, Americana, Folk, Acoustic Rock, Country and traditional sounds...They perform dozens of originals as well as some of the best covers from artists like Gillian Welch, Allison Kraus, Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills and Nash, Dierks Bentley, Nickel Creek, Sawyer Brown, The Beatles and many more. Their show is polished, engaging and they take pride in not being predictable. People who see them live are taken on a "musical rollercoaster". Just one listen and you'll have a new favorite band.
