Above and Beyond!!

St. Mark's went above and beyond. our expectations for this event. We hosted a non profit event where they were our main performance that evening. They even had the suggestions to pull 6 additional pieces into the performance to enhance the sound in a large theatre and it was spectacular! 5 star reviews from the 1000 guest in attendance. I would 100% hire them again for a multitude of reasons. Great communications, Very Professional to work with, Grand ideas with stellar execution,Mixture of classical and modern music, and so much more. Can't recommend enough! Just hire them.

St. Mark’s 2 presented an outstanding evening filled with classical wonders. They possessed extraordinary talent coupled with a good dose of humility. The group was professional in every way. Magical Performance! Must Book!

St. Marks was the perfect splurge for my September 2025 wedding. They performed with classical setlist at our ceremony, and a more contemporary “Bridgerton” list for our cocktail hour and both were perfect. I was even able to request a song to walk down the aisle to that wasn’t on their repertoire list, and they executed wonderfully.
Their music elevated the day so beautifully and created an atmosphere nothing short of magical. We heard nothing but high praise from our guests and other vendors.

Allison was wonderful to work with, and I can’t recommend her and her team enough.

Absolutely magical performers

I am writing this review a year after this string quartet performed for our wedding. My husband and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary and reminiscing on how wonderful our wedding was. A highlight for us was our string quartet that played for our ceremony & cocktail hour. We are huge Disney fans and I walked down the aisle to Can You Feel the Love Tonight from the lion king. During our cocktail hour more Disney songs were played beautifully curating an enchanting atmosphere that we are so in love with a year later. Thank you so much for all you did that added to the perfection of our day.

What to expect

St. Mark's² is comprised of the four founding members, Allison Steiner (first violin), Aleksis Zarins (second violin), Kirsten Weingartner-Weiss (viola) and Caleb Marshall (cello). In some circumstances due to busy professional schedules on each members part, substitutions may occur. Know that the quality of the music and the musicians themselves will not be negatively affected by a replacement. St. Mark's² only works with the very best and most professional musicians anywhere.

About

St. Mark's² is a professional string quartet whose members are: Allison Steiner (first violin), Aleksis Zarins (second violin), Kirsten Weingartner-Weiss (viola) and Caleb Marshall (cello). Its members are currently instructing at or have served on the faculties of Missouri State University, Drury University and College of the Ozarks. Each are permanent chair musicians in the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Their extensive backgrounds include studies at Manhattan School of Music, Depaul University and Missouri State University. Collectively, their performance experience has brought them around the world to concert stages in Europe, the Far East and South America. They have performed in Broadway shows, the stages of NYC's Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, as well as Branson theaters. They have shared the stage with such talents as Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, Kansas, The Lawrence Welk Show, Anne Murray, Steve & Edie Gormet, Manheim Steamroller and many others. They regularly perform for various events around the Springfield, Mo area and give recitals each year. Pieces in their repertoire include works by Mozart, Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Ravel, Grieg, Borodin, and Smetana. In addition, they have a variety of Baroque favorites, authentic Tango music from the 1930s, and pop tunes.
