Steve Prentice - Speaker
Overview
We are living and working in times of uncertainty and change, with unprecedented technological, economic and geopolitical shifts. It is challenging for companies and their employees to make sense of such rapid disruption. People fear for their jobs, and leaders worry about how to steer their company through these times. My specialty, for thirty years, has been to help people make sense of change, to understand what new technologies and trends mean to them, and how to build and maintain highly valuable skills. My presentations explain human and technological processes in clear, straightforward terms, delivering optimism, and understanding in the name of renewed commitment.

Thank you for the review, Bryan. It was a pleasure meeting you and your team. As I mentioned, I make it a practice to follow up with people who have attended sessions of mine, to ask them how they’re doing and to offer free mentorship. This is not a marketing piece, simply support and value-add to the presentation. If you would like this, I will schedule it into my calendar and send you emails for you to distribute to your team. It’s your choice of course. - Steve

What to expect
I always like to ask to meet with the event planner/client via video chat or phone to discuss their event's theme and objectives and I then set about creating a presentation that meets those objectives; in other words, nothing is shrink-wrapped. I take care to make sure that you, the person doing the booking, feel completely comfortable in your choice of hiring me. This in turn means the audience can expect a relevant, engaging, and uplifting presentation that delivers actionable takeaways along with a professional learning opportunity, all delivered through stories, timely tips and as much interaction as each individual is comfortable with.
I can create a motivational speech specific to your requirements, or you can choose from my collection of current speech topics:
The Art of Creating Comfort - how to best serve internal and external customers by focusing on the key emotional motivator: the desire for comfort.
The challenges and opportunities for Leadership in the age of AI.
Cool-Time - my proven method for high-productivity time management and work-life balance, based on physiology, influence and project management, delivered in a way that anyone can learn.
Understanding AI and Gen-AI - is it hype or a game-changer? There are many things that AI can do, and many things it can't. It will likely not take away jobs so much as change them for the better.
The Innovative Workplace: new best practices for work in the 2020s - discusses specific innovations such as work-from-home, hybrid work, and asynchronous meetings, but more importantly sets the stage for an innovative mindset that will keep your organization competitive.
Thinking, Feeling and Connecting as humans in the era of digital transformation and AI - learn how to help yourself and your team reconnect emotionally and verbally, to build better relationships and even manage conflict, without relying on text messaging.
Cyberhygiene in the Workplace - this is something every person must do - from passwords and passkeys to phishing and deepfakes - learn about the dangers and how to protect yourself - delivered in clear, non-technical language.

Additional booking notes
I have all the sound gear required to deliver a speech, and am also comfortable working with the gear and the technicians who work in presentation venues. For virtual sessions, I use an immersive environment to remove the boxy feel of most video chat platforms.
