About
My hospitality story began at Penn State’s Nittany Lion Inn, where I discovered how thoughtful service and attention to detail can shape a guest’s experience. From there, I moved into the bustling college-town rhythm of Ye Olde College Diner, then the lively College Avenue scene at Cafe 210 West, with its spirited patio and live music.
Philadelphia brought a new chapter. My love of bartending led me to the Laff House, while my passion for detail and service opened the door to five-star catering with Starr Catering, Restaurant Associates, and others. I worked behind the bar and as a bar captain, learning to read a room, welcome every guest, and keep the celebration moving.
In 2015, I brought those experiences together and set out on my own, founding Stephen Gene Bartending. Today, I combine polished hospitality, personal attention, and lively energy to help make every gathering one to remember.
