Overview

I play originals and covers; my influences are Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Norah Jones and Etta James. I accompany myself on guitar and keyboard; I can also play violin. I'm a good addition to open mic nights, festivals, family get-togethers and other friendly, live-music centered events.

What to expect

If your event needs someone fun with a great range of covers, just call me that someone! I connect well with listeners of all ages and enjoy audiences of any size. I am accustomed to playing in churches, at festivals, house shows, concerts and also as the background music to events. I banter well and can often get a laugh. I don't mind playing off in a corner and creating ambience, either.

About

I am a folksy singer-songwriter with a nose for adventure. I've played with theillalogicalspoon of Jackson, MI, Leper of Chicago, IL, 6'10 (Chicago) and Butterfield Creek (Homewood, IL). I currently write and play for the band The Uh Ohs with my husband. Besides guitar and songwriting, I also play violin and some keys.

Additional booking notes

When I play, I don't need anything special as far as lighting, staging or sound. My set up is fairly simple - I have an acoustic guitar that has a pick-up, so whether your event is outdoors, indoors or somewhere in-between, I am at your service. I may require chocolate.

Setup requirements

If it's outside and sunny/windy, some sort of cover would be helpful.
