Our dynamic male and female lead vocals, live guitar, keyboards/synth, bass, and drums give us the versatility to move seamlessly from polished background music to an all-out party.

Our repertoire spans today’s biggest hits alongside the nostalgic favorites your guests already know and love from the '90s, 2000s, and 2010s. We’re constantly thinking about the flow of the room—building the energy, reading the crowd, and choosing songs that keep people involved rather than simply playing through a set list.

One of the things that makes Starlight City different is our approach to the live show. We incorporate DJ-inspired transitions, mashups, and medleys into our performances, creating continuous musical journeys that can move from one hit to the next without losing momentum. At the same time, we love giving the audience those big, recognizable moments where everyone can sing along to a favorite song from beginning to end.

Starlight City is Chicago's premier new live music experience that brings a dazzling mix of pop and dance music combined with the powerful energy of a modern rock show to stages around the Midwest!

Unique in its ability to perform just about any style of music, this band features a dynamic combination of male and female lead vocals provided by Dave Marvel and Adriana Tronco. Steve Sefton delivers an impressive display of lead guitar and keyboards/synth, all backed up by one of the best rhythm sections around with bassist Drew Harris and drummer Brian Leppert.

Whether it's the latest and greatest from today's Top 40 and Spotify's Most Listened/Most Streamed or nostalgic classics from the 90s, 2000s, and teens, you're bound to hear a mix of tunes that provides the perfect party playlist or the ideal soundtrack to your night out.

The band brings a signature EDM/DJ-inspired flair to their live sets, with the uncanny ability to mashup and remix hit songs into thematic musical journeys that will take you from KISS FM to B96 to The MIX to Q101!

Starlight City is a professional, self-contained live band with a straightforward technical setup. We provide our own microphones, DI boxes, mic stands, in-ear monitoring system, and stage lighting/haze when appropriate.

**Sound & Stage Requirements**

The band requires a suitable performance area with adequate space for the full ensemble and standard access to electrical power. Our stage plot and input list are available for production teams in advance.

We use an in-ear monitoring system and control our monitor mixes from the stage, so **no wedge monitors are required**. The band provides a 30-foot split snake from our in-ear rack, allowing the front-of-house engineer to receive all band inputs.

Our standard input list includes:

* Kick
* Snare
* Hi-hat
* Two toms
* Ride
* Stereo tracks
* Stereo keyboards
* Guitar
* Bass
* Three vocal microphones

The band provides the microphones, DI boxes, and stands required for these inputs. Phantom power (+48V) is supplied from our in-ear mixer for the applicable condenser microphone channels.

**Monitoring**

Starlight City runs a fully in-ear monitoring system. This keeps the stage clean, reduces stage volume, and allows the band to maintain consistent monitoring throughout the performance. No traditional floor monitors are needed.

**Lighting & Haze**

Starlight City can provide and operate its own stage lighting and haze when appropriate for the venue and event. Our lighting setup requires a **separate electrical circuit**.

Any haze use is subject to venue approval, fire/safety requirements, and the venue's policies.

**Production**

For events providing professional sound and lighting production, we are happy to work with the venue's production team or house engineer. Our stage plot and input list can be supplied ahead of the event to make advance planning and load-in as smooth as possible.

Some songs in our performance include vocal effects, which should be accommodated by the sound system/FOH setup.

Our goal is to make the technical side easy for the client: we arrive with the core equipment needed for the band's stage setup, provide a clear input list and stage plot, and coordinate with the venue or production team so we can focus on delivering the show.
