What to expect

Henna is safe and painless. True henna is a beautiful, rich brown color. It has a bohemian look in its design. Also known as Mehndi or Mehendi, it originated in India and the Middle East and is gaining popularity in the West. Traditionally the belief was those with adorned skin were blessed with good fortune. Henna is culturally used in weddings, coming of age ceremonies, before childbirth, and was once used to stain the skin of warriors going into battle in Persia.

I have been a visual artist, painter, illustrator for over 30 years. I have my B.A. in Fine Art & Art History. I started henna about 5 years ago. I love the tradition and culture that henna comes from. I meet so many interesting people at art festivals and parties where I do custom henna designs to each person’s request. My henna is safe and long lasting. There is no long term commitment to a henna tattoo. I look forward to giving you beautiful, unique henna body art that will brighten your day.
