Overview
Born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Lisa developed a sharp wit and sense of humor that Newfoundlanders are known for. After starting a professional stand-up career on the island, she moved to Alberta, continuing her comedy career.
Lisa has had multiple appearances on The Debaters. She's performed in every province and territory in the country, as well as at Just For Laughs Northwest and The Winnipeg Comedy Festival.
Lisa is currently burning up Tik Tok and just finished her 3rd self-produced cross country tour. She's recorded 2 albums, "To Completion" and "Super Newfie", which are featured on SiriusXM.

I have been a long time fan of Lisa... since her very first show! She has grown as a comedian so much, but one thing that didn’t change is how relatable she is. Not only she is funny as hell to the point you have to pee but you can sit back and say “omg I can see that happening or ugh I know someone like that too”
Lisa, you make us all proud to be from Newfoundland and I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes you next!
Highly recommend booking her for any type of group as she is funny from everyone from her peers to grandmas!

What to expect
I am very well-suited for most events, given my background and experience in the business. I have performed at most any event you can imagine: weddings, memorial service, fundraiser, conferences, Christmas parties, biker rallies, comedy clubs, birthday parties, retirement parties, and have some experience as a keynote speaker as well. I have a work background in office work and the trades. My stand up focuses on family, daily life, health, and relationships. I am originally from Newfoundland so keep in mind I do have an accent. My delivery tends to lean towards ranting, which audiences seem to very much enjoy. I am quite capable of crowd work and engaging the audience during a set. I pride myself on professionalism, and conduct myself accordingly.

Lisa Baker is a stand up comedian, originally from Newfoundland,. She has worked with Tom Green and Rob Schneider, and was the 2016 winner of the Comic Strip’s Funniest Person with a Day Job competition. Over the last year,, she was featured on sold out theatre tours in Alberta, and Newfoundland and Labrador, at the YYComedy Festival's Prairie All Stars show, and at the Just For Laughs Northwest comedy festival. You may recognize her voice from CBC’s Laugh out Loud or The Debaters.
