July 27, 2026Everything I needed in a bassist!
I hired Stan for a gig that requires a lot of fresh material. Not only did he learn it all, he followed on the fly when the client requested songs at the show. Stan was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.

July 5, 2026Headline: Outstanding Bassist, Incredible Professionalism
It is a true pleasure to recommend Stan Komarovsky. After working with him, I can confidently say he is one of the finest musicians and one of the most professional people I have had the opportunity to collaborate with.
From our very first rehearsal through our live performance, Stan consistently exceeded every expectation. His level of musicianship is exceptional. His bass playing is precise, powerful, musical, and always elevates the entire band. He has outstanding timing, incredible feel, and the ability to make every song sound bigger, tighter, and more dynamic. He doesn’t simply play the bass—he helps create a complete, polished performance.
What truly sets Stan apart is his professionalism and dedication. He always arrived fully prepared, learned every song thoroughly, communicated clearly, and approached every rehearsal with a positive attitude and genuine commitment. As someone organizing a show, having a musician you can completely rely on is invaluable, and Stan was exactly that. He made the entire process smoother and gave everyone confidence on stage.
Beyond his incredible talent, Stan is an outstanding person. He is respectful, humble, easy to work with, supportive of his fellow musicians, and genuinely passionate about delivering the highest-quality performance possible. His positive attitude and calm professionalism create a great atmosphere both during rehearsals and on stage.
If you are looking for a bassist who combines world-class musicianship with reliability, professionalism, and outstanding character, I cannot recommend Stan highly enough. Whether it’s a concert, corporate event, private function, wedding, festival, recording session, or touring production, he will bring tremendous value and professionalism to your event.
I sincerely hope to work with Stan again on many future projects. He is an exceptional musician, a true professional, and someone I would recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for top-tier musical talent. Thank you, Stan, for your dedication, your incredible performance, and for helping make our show a memorable success. You have earned my highest recommendation, and I wish you continued success in everything you do.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What to expect
I’ve performed in a wide range of settings, including club shows, private events, weddings, and corporate functions. Each type of event comes with its own expectations, and I’ve learned how important it is to read the room, support the vibe, and adapt my playing to the audience and environment.
Stylistically, I’m comfortable across many genres, and I always focus on solid groove, good tone, and musical restraint when it’s needed. My priority is serving the song and the event, not overplaying or drawing attention away from what matters.
People I work with often describe me as dependable, easy to work with, and calm under pressure. I take pride in being someone others can rely on, whether that means showing up fully prepared, adapting on the fly, or helping the day run as smoothly as possible.
About
I started my music journey relatively late, at 19. Picking up the bass and learning how to play turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life - music helped me find my identity, build lasting friendships, and grow as a person.
Now I’ve been playing bass for over 15 years. What started as learning songs for fun quickly turned into playing in bands, rehearsing regularly, and performing live. Over time, I realized that what I enjoy most isn’t just playing notes, but locking in with other musicians and shaping the feel of a song in a way that fits the moment.
I’m currently playing with Derev, a progressive rock band from Toronto. We’ve recorded a full-length album together and toured across Canada, performing at clubs and festivals.
Outside of music, I work as a software engineer in the video game industry - my other long-term passion. That background has shaped how I approach music as well: with preparation, attention to detail, and clear communication.
