What to expect
I’ve performed in a wide range of settings, including club shows, private events, weddings, and corporate functions. Each type of event comes with its own expectations, and I’ve learned how important it is to read the room, support the vibe, and adapt my playing to the audience and environment.
Stylistically, I’m comfortable across many genres, and I always focus on solid groove, good tone, and musical restraint when it’s needed. My priority is serving the song and the event, not overplaying or drawing attention away from what matters.
People I work with often describe me as dependable, easy to work with, and calm under pressure. I take pride in being someone others can rely on, whether that means showing up fully prepared, adapting on the fly, or helping the day run as smoothly as possible.
About
I started my music journey relatively late, at 19. Picking up the bass and learning how to play turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life - music helped me find my identity, build lasting friendships, and grow as a person.
Now I’ve been playing bass for over 15 years. What started as learning songs for fun quickly turned into playing in bands, rehearsing regularly, and performing live. Over time, I realized that what I enjoy most isn’t just playing notes, but locking in with other musicians and shaping the feel of a song in a way that fits the moment.
I’m currently playing with Derev, a progressive rock band from Toronto. We’ve recorded a full-length album together and toured across Canada, performing at clubs and festivals.
Outside of music, I work as a software engineer in the video game industry - my other long-term passion. That background has shaped how I approach music as well: with preparation, attention to detail, and clear communication.
