Special Occasion Music

1. I/We will arrive 20 minutes early to the gig.
2. If there is a dress rehearsal, only I will attend.
3. There is an extra charge for dress rehearsal attendance.

Milwaukee native, Lydia Hynson, performed for many years in the various groups of Nationally renowned Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO). After traveling to cities worldwide with MYSO, it became apparent that cello was in fact her passion to pursue. She then attended both, Lawrence University, where she played in masterclasses with members of the Quatuor Ébène, and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. There, she was named the winner of the UWSP Alice Peet Faust Concerto Competition in 2011. After graduating from UW-Stevens Point with a Bachelor's in Cello Performance, she continued her musical path out West.
Currently, she resides in Fort Collins, Colorado. There, Colorado State University selected her to receive the Graduate String Quartet Scholarship, which was the catalyst that later formed The Zinnia String Quartet. At Colorado State, Lydia had the opportunity to work with individuals such as The Borromeo String Quartet, The Minguet String Quartet, The Mendelssohn Trio, The Lysander Trio, and Victor Wooten. Upon finishing her Masters of Music in Cello Performance and also receiving a Certificate in Cello Pedagogy from Colorado State University, Lydia also formed The Fort Collins All-City High School Honor Orchestra which held its premiere event in April 2016.
