I think a client actually expressed best what it is that people walk away with after one of my presentations. The gentleman came up to me and stated: "That was really quite good, you taught us a lot, you made us think, and it was humorous at points". I am basically a teacher but I realize when I am up on that stage I am also to a certain degree an entertainer. I have to entertain the audience enough to keep them awake and with me, so that I have the opportunity to teach them the things they came to learn.
I am very passionate about the subjects I present and like enthusiasm, passion is quite "catchy". I infect the audience with that passion and with the new knowledge of how to proceed to meet their goals.

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration & Management. In 1980 I started a part time tax preparation service. Over the years it grew to become the business it is today with over 700 clients. In 1992 it was big enough that it became a full time business and I started doing seminars teaching people how to pay less income taxes. I spent thousands of dollars on just about every type of advertising that exits, growing my business. A few years later I decided to study my then client base, trying to figure out which type of advertising worked best. That is when the light came on, for that is when I realized that 80% of all my clients came to me because one of my other clients told them to. I then started spending almost all of my promotional money on my current clients and that started more than 10 years in a row of double digit growth.
Of my 700 clients over 30% of them are businesses, in a wide variety of industries and of all shapes and sizes. I have advised them and taught many of them over the years how to enjoy the same type of growth rates that I have enjoyed.
I have two passions. One is that I hate to see people lose their hard earned money. Therefore out of the financial side of the business came the book and the presentation: Financially Intact -- Making Money is Easy, Keeping it is the Hard Part. It is a book and presentation about identity theft, scams and shams and a myriad of ways people lose money. My other great passion is to see people succeed. From that passion came the book and presentation, "Quotes and Notes, Motivational Quotes for Success".
No matter how much I enjoy this side of the business, and I truly do, I will not abandon my old customers who helped make me the person I have become. For that reason I do not do presentations between Feb. 15th and April 15th for that is when they need my undivided attention the most.

I do not use power point or films or charts so my needs are few. I prefer a headset or lapel mic, although I do a fairly entertaining routine when I have to use a hand held mic. I refer to it when I don't have one but I play it up a lot more when I do. I also need a small table or podium. I won't stand there more than a few moments but I do lay my keywords there and wander by it every now and then.
