Sounds of the Summer
Overview
I am a steel drummer with over 10 years of experience. I have been featured on WMBF News and won 3rd place in the Brooklyn Panorama Competition, playing for the Philly Pan Stars in 2024. I have performed at hotels, festivals, and restaurants, entertaining guests with not only tropical music but also reggae, classic rock, and a variety of pop tunes. I try to keep a mix of old hits and modern tunes. I currently study music at Coastal Carolina University.

What to expect
I love keeping the audience on their toes! my set list ranges from Sabrina Carpenter to Bob Marley to Steely Dan. I play songs that people would've never thought they would hear a steel drum play. It surprises audiences in a good way. I also interact with audiences by allowing people to play the drum (if they want to). I generally play calypso, soca, reggae, pop, and classic rock genres. If a song is requested in advance, I can learn it for ya!
About
I am a professional steel panist and percussionist. I have an undergraduate degree in music performance, and I am currently a graduate student at Northern Illinois University. I have performed 100+ gigs, and I play a variety of genres, such as calypso, soca, pop, reggae, jazz, etc. I have performed at weddings, restaurants, private events- you name it. I am always on time and ready to bring good vibes for your event. I take requests if asked in advance.
Additional booking notes
I typically have a small setup, but if it's a larger venue/audience, I use a mixer/mics. I only need a power outlet for my speaker.

Influences and inspiration
Despite my young age, I enjoy listening to oldies such as The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley, and Steely Dan. I also listen to Jazz and other steelpan musicians such as Andy Narell and the Caribbean Jazz Project.
