I'm WLK, the artist, host, and curator behind Sounds by WLK, a San Antonio-based DJ and live sound experience. Drawing from a background in R&B, soul, house, hip-hop, and alternative music, I create thoughtful, genre-fluid sets built around the atmosphere, audience, and purpose of each event.

As a performing artist and longtime curator of live experiences, I know great entertainment is about more than playing popular songs. It's about reading the room, building momentum, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable celebrating, connecting, and being present. I am also able to provide premium speakers and subwoofers for clean, powerful sound, DMX lighting to set the mood, and sound engineering support for your live performers when you need it.

I provide professional DJ and MC services for weddings, private celebrations, community events, restaurants, lounges, showcases, and cultural gatherings throughout San Antonio and the surrounding Texas region. To deliver clean, reliable sound throughout your event, I need access to a dedicated electrical source within reasonable proximity to my setup — ideally standard grounded outlets on a circuit that can handle professional audio and lighting equipment without interruption. I also ask for adequate time to load in and set up before guests arrive, as well as time to break down and load out responsibly afterward, so everything is handled safely and without rushing. For outdoor events, I require a shaded, covered area with proper ventilation to protect the equipment from direct sun, heat, and weather — this keeps the gear running dependably and ensures the sound quality stays consistent from the first song to the last.
