Sound & Memory is a mixed chamber ensemble of strings, woodwinds, piano, brass and voice. We can provide custom music programs as well as instrumentation for any event such as weddings, birthday parties and anniversaries. Our repertoire spans genres from classical to pop. We have performed at venues such as the American Folk Art Museum, Dimenna Center for Classical Music and Manhattan's Little Island. For over ten years we have worked to bring live music to universities, libraries, spaces of worship and other public spaces.
Our group specializes in providing custom music programs for funerals and memorial services for which we tailor music that reflects your loved one's life.

January 22, 2025Concetta has been enormously helpful to my family in memorializing our beloveds. She played violin and sang so beautifully and movingly at the celebration of life for my uncle Mike in 2019, and last summer (2024) also played at the memorial service for my aunt Judy. She shows up to this work with such presence and care and helped make both events unique and beautiful. She is so talented and compassionate. I wish everyone could have such beautiful music to be remembered by.

August 15, 2022I needed a violin/viola player to record the string parts on several of my recordings. I asked around on Facebook and I was recommended Concetta by several local musicians. She was such a pleasure to work with and came to the session on time and prepared. I was amazed that she nailed every part in one or two takes, and even took time to improve the parts by adding extra layers. Her love for music is infectious and I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking to collaborate on a musical project.
