Tha Gift (Short Bio)

Tha Gift, born Kenneth Daye (aka KDaye), is a gospel rap artist, producer, and founder of SoulSeeker Records and Kenneth Daye Publishing. With over 25 years in the music business, Tha Gift has turned personal tragedy into purpose — using his music to bring faith, hope, and truth to the streets and the world.
After losing his son and brother to gun violence in 2007, Tha Gift dedicated his life to God and began spreading the Gospel through music. His journey led him to tour with hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow in 2009, an experience that solidified his mission to inspire and uplift through gospel hip-hop.
Today, Tha Gift leads SoulSeeker Records, based in Statesville, NC, featuring artists Da Future, Kelly Brawley, and Tha Gift himself. Alongside that, his new venture, Kenneth Daye Publishing, was created to empower artists, writers, and creators to own their work and walk boldly in their calling.
His message is simple: “Faith turned my pain into power — now I use that power to reach souls.”
