June 23, 2026I booked Sophia in early 2025 for my June 2026 wedding. Signed the contract and paid the deposit via Gigsalad. May 2026 rolls around and I reach out again to touch base as the wedding was only a month away. Sophia seemed a bit confused as to where I had booked her/sent the deposit, to which I reminded her that I booked her via Gigsalad. 2 weeks leading up to the wedding, I was sending texts and emails to Sophia, which were responded with silence. I ended up cancelling my booking with her and forfeiting my deposit as it added more stress to my planning process less than 2 weeks before my wedding date. I ended up booking a different harpist who was more expensive but had better credentials and responded almost immediately all the time. I'm sure Sophia plays beautifully, but unfortunately communication needs to be better, especially within the last few weeks leading up to an event date.

I reached out to you privately (via email and text) in hopes of resolving your concerns, but I never received a response. Since I haven’t been able to connect with you directly, I want to provide context for future clients reading this.
I’m sorry our communication caused you stress. Since our correspondence continued outside of GigSalad several months after booking, I initially had difficulty locating your reservation, as I manage bookings across multiple platforms.
When you reached out two weeks before your wedding regarding the COI, (which I always take care of the week of the wedding) I was traveling internationally with family and planned to respond later that day when I had dedicated time for business emails/texts. Since I did not respond within a few hours, you canceled our booking in an abrupt way and chose to forfeit your deposit instead of a possibly sending a second message to make sure I saw your initial one.
My response to your cancellation was also not successfully delivered at the time, which I did not realize until later, and I attribute to my international data having trouble. I understand how this contributed to the breakdown in communication, but I did intend to respond and thought I had.

October 5, 2023Wow. I had a royal tea party and Sophia added the most elegant touch. Everyone was amazed. Everyone was like this was the most elegant thing they’ve ever been to. The photos and the music was incredible. She greeted every guest that walked in with the most beautiful music. She deserved a standing ovation.
I definitely recommend her to any event. Doesn’t matter what it is. Please book her! You won’t regret it!!!!!! I can’t wait to see all the photos. Sophia you are an angel on that harp and in real life ❤️❤️❤️ THANK YOU !!
