What you can expect from your session…
with Sophia Juarez Photography:

I am a very outgoing, intuitive person. I like to approach my sessions with a free spirit and a go-with-the-flow attitude. When working with me you won’t be posed like you’re at prom— you will be prompted to make natural, expressive movements. I love candid photos and always have. I’m always keeping my eye out for that perfect moment! You can expect to have fun, share some laughs, and to create memories that will last for lifetimes to come. It is my goal to make you feel as comfortable as I possibly can so that we can capture your individuality and personality!

Pre Shoot:

After you have scheduled your session, I will contact you and have you fill out a questionnaire. The purpose of this is so that I can have a feel for what you are looking to have photographed and to get to know who I am photographing! Please feel free to send me inspiration images, mood boards, anything that will allow us to share the same vision for your session.

Day Of:

We are going to have some fun! Or we can be super serious. Whatever makes you comfortable for your session! :-) Each client is different and that is understood and welcomed. There is no rush, no pressure, just us and my camera. I understand it can be awkward to be in front of the camera, but rest assured I understand and it is part of the reason I love what I do! I am often told that I make people feel comfortable and I take pride in that part of my personality.

Clothing: Please try to avoid wearing all black unless we have discussed this.

Post Session:

Prepare to receive your amazing edited digital images!

Images typically take two weeks to be edited and digitally delivered. The amount of images you receive will be based on the package that you have purchased. 3 Sneak peaks are delivered within 72 hours of each session.

Sophia Juarez is a talented, creative photographer who has always been captivated by the ability to freeze moments in time. Since her early days, Sophia found herself drawn to the art of photography, eagerly pressing the shutter and exploring various cameras from Polaroid to Pentax and Nikon. Today, as the creative force behind Sophia Juarez Photography, she has fulfilled her lifelong dream of being the person behind the lens.

Born into a family with a strong passion for visual arts, Sophia's upbringing was deeply influenced by her grandparents. Raised by them since she was barely able to see over the kitchen table, she was exposed to the world of videography through her grandpa and uncle's business, A & J Productions. As a child, she vividly remembers being both photographed and videotaped, sparking her own fascination with capturing memories through the lens.

Supported by her grandmother, a kindergarten teacher who nurtured her creative imagination, Sophia's nostalgia has always been intertwined with photography. The profound impact of these early experiences and the encouragement she received paved the way for her artistic journey.

Sophia draws inspiration from various sources, including art history, the female form, color, and shadows. Exploring these elements allows her to create evocative and visually striking compositions. However, for a significant period, she doubted the feasibility of pursuing photography as a viable career, relegating it to the status of a mere hobby. It wasn't until she started trusting her intuition and embracing her inherent abilities that she discovered profound happiness in fulfilling her true purpose.

Recently, Sophia achieved a significant milestone in her artistic journey by obtaining a bachelor's degree in photography. Armed with a solid foundation of technical skills and a deep passion for her craft, she embarks on an exciting new chapter in her career. With boundless enthusiasm and a unique artistic vision, Sophia Juarez is poised to make a lasting impact in the world of photography, captivating audiences with her evocative imagery and preserving timeless moments for generations to come.
