Soorya Dance Company presents colorful, entertaining Indian dances such as
B - Natya, Kathak, Bollywood, Folk, Contemporary from India. It also specializes in dance dramas depicting different story lines. Soorya Dance company is known for its grace and accurate presentation. Normal groups will have 4 people performing with one lead dancer. A full scale performance will have 16 dancers.

About
Soorya Performing Arts (SPA) is a 501 c3 performing arts organization dedicated to bringing awareness, passion and interest for dance, music and theater of Indian origin. It aims to provide
· the knowledge to learn and understand

· the knowledge to watch and appreciate
· the knowledge to collaborate and create new idioms of immigrants of the Americas
It strives hard to bring awareness of authentic performing art forms from ancient India. Knowledge accumulated for 3 millennia in Indian heritage, is the main inspiration for all our dedicated work. Earlier Indian art pioneers have left a trove of information, pertaining to performing arts through research and experiment. The existing classical art forms such as Bharata-Natya Dance or Kathak Dance or Carnatic music or Hindustani music have evolved after several centuries of fine tuning by an amazing human intellect.
We present the following to our patrons

2. Indian Folk Dance Performances
3. Indian Classical music events
4. Bollywood singing and dancing
5. Collaborative events like - Kathak-Tap/ Jazz-Carnatic music performances.

Additional booking notes
For full scale dance performances, we need 40 X 40 feet wooden stage with full lighting and sound systems
For a small dance performance - we need atleast 30ft X 20 ft - non-carpeted space.
