Sons of SoCal Band

We are a "note-for-note" cover band. Although we may cover another band's cover of a song, such as Alien Ant Farm's cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal," we do our best to stay true to the original recording that audiences are accustomed to hearing on their local radio stations or streaming services.

Alongside our covers, we are renowned for our medleys. These medleys can be a fusion of 3-5 songs by a specific band or a unique arrangement of various artists in a particular genre. They are sure to get your feet tapping and showcase our versatility.

We are a professional and considerate group of middle-aged men who hold the audience, the host, the property, and other vendors in high regard. We come fully equipped with our own PA system and use IEM's for a clean stage, free from dusty monitors or old amps. We can also provide ambient music during intermissions, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable event.

We are a full-service band of classically trained professional musicians and can learn specific songs on demand for special occasions. Our singer is bilingual (English and Spanish) with operatic training in Italian and German.

Sons of SoCal specializes in rock hits, hard rock, and metal from the 1970s through the 2000s, which you can sing, dance to, and bang your head to!

Let us take you on a heart-pumping, head-banging, ass-shaking rock music journey that spans 4-decades! Our setlist includes Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave, Tool, Ramones, Velvet Revolver, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deftones, Queens of the Stone Age, 311, and many, many more!

Veteran-owned and operated Jorge Sanchez, SSgt (ret), served 20 years in the Marine Corps Band and is the Audio Engineer and Lead Guitarist for Sons of SoCal. Jorge co-manages the band with his identical twin, Carlos Sanchez, who teaches pep band, drumline, and marching band at California State University Dominguez Hills and the Carson Unified School District.

We provide:

- Basic multicolored stage lighting.
- Public address system (PA System) including mixer, amplifier, microphones, in-ear monitors, and speaker combinations to fit most indoor and outdoor venues.
- Several different drum set configurations. We can fit in a small corner or fill a stage.
- Drum riser, if necessary.
