We perform in bright, eye catching costumes and bring the energy whether it’s a private party, wedding, corporate event, festival, or community celebration. Our shows can include freestyle sets, choreographed numbers, guest interaction, and photo moments with your guests for unforgettable memories.

Tech Info
We can perform with recorded music or live drummers, depending on the client’s preference and your event setup.
Recorded music
We use SoundCloud playlists for our performance sets.
We ask that the venue provides:
• a speaker system or PA system with strong volume
• a phone or laptop that can play SoundCloud
• a simple way to connect to the speaker system (Bluetooth, AUX, or USB C adapter)
We can also bring our own device with the playlist ready to go.
Live drummers
If you choose to add live drummers, they will bring their own instruments.
We only need:
• a small performance space
• a location where drum volume is acceptable for your event
Space
We can perform in small or large spaces. For two dancers, a space about eight feet by eight feet is usually enough, but more space is always better for movement and interaction
We perform to a curated mix of high energy Brazilian Samba, Afro Brazilian rhythms, and parade style music. Our playlist is customized for each event and can include both recorded tracks and live drumming
Sol do Samba Dance Collective is inspired by the vibrant rhythms of Rio style Samba, Afro Brazilian movement, and the rich traditions found in Brazilian carnival culture. Our choreography pulls from classic Samba no pé, high energy parade style movement, and the joyful community based spirit of Brazilian dance. We are also influenced by contemporary performance art, live percussion, and the celebration of culture through music and movement
