What to expect
When you book Farinz, you’re getting a polished, solo saxophone performance that’s easy to plan around and reliable on the day. I bring live sax over professionally produced backing tracks, so you get the energy and presence of a full band without the logistics of coordinating one.
My setup is minimal and low-hassle: no pedals, no stand, no bulky gear, just a simple aux connection and, if needed, a microphone. That means I fit into almost any venue or stage setup without extra planning on your end.
Musically, I move comfortably between smooth jazz, R&B, gospel, Praise sessions(naija vibe) and Afrobeats, so I can shape the set to match your event, whether that’s quiet background music for a dinner or a livelier set that gets guests engaged. I’m also flexible on song choice and happy to work from a list you provide or curate one myself.
If you want music before or between sets, I can also handle that as part of the booking, so you’re covered without needing to hire separately for it.
About
I’m Farinz, a saxophonist and music producer based in Dfw(Texas) and Baltimore(Maryland) area. I picked up the saxophone years ago and have spent time since then developing a sound that blends smooth jazz with Afrobeats, R&B, Praise sessions(Naija vibe) and gospel-rooted influences, drawing on players like Gerald Albright and Kenny G alongside contemporary artists like Asake and Wizkid.
Alongside performing, I produce and mix my own music, which shapes the way I approach a live set. I pay close attention to tone, dynamics, and how the room actually sounds, not just what’s easy to reproduce live. I perform solo, layering live saxophone over polished backing tracks, which lets me bring a full, rich sound to any event without the overhead of a full band.
Whether it’s a laid-back dinner set, a reception, or something more upbeat, I tailor my playing to the room and the occasion, and I’m easy to work with when it comes to shaping the set list around what you want.

Influences and inspiration
My playing and sound draw from Gerald Albright and Kenny G on the saxophone side, giving me a smooth, melodic jazz foundation, alongside Afrobeats artists like Asake and Wizkid, who shape the rhythmic, contemporary edge of my live sets.
Setup requirements
As a solo saxophonist, my setup is minimal. I don’t use any pedals or effects. I’ll typically bring my laptop to play backing tracks, so I just need a 3.5mm headphone/aux cable to connect to your PA system, along with a microphone for my saxophone if the
