Choose from walk-around magic that mingles with guests throughout the event, a dynamic mix of stage show and walk-around, or a full performance of our signature stage show, The Witching Hour. We work closely with you to tailor the entertainment, ensuring your guests are treated to the perfect balance of mystifying illusion, dark theatrical flair, and unforgettable moments that complement your event.

Smoke and Synapses is a collaboration between Isaac Lockwood, card manipulator and street magician, and Mike Martinez, an accomplished mentalist.

Isaac has spent 20 years studying magic, sleight of hand, show writing, and music direction. Beginning his magical journey at just five years old in Colorado Springs, he discovered a lifelong passion for creating and sharing moments of pure wonder.

Mike brings over two decades of experience from Los Angeles, where he performed with Magikeros and honed his craft as both a magician and touring musician melding rhythm, timing, and atmosphere into every performance.

When their paths crossed in the interactive entertainment world, Isaac and Mike fused their talents to form Smoke and Synapses, a darkly immersive blend of psychological illusion and visual artistry.

From haunting stage shows to intimate walk-around performances, they deliver an experience that bends minds, stirs emotions, and leaves the veil of reality delightfully unsettled.

If you would like Smoke and Synapses to perform a stage show, we can adapt the space at your event to fit the performance perfectly. With enough notice, we can even tailor a show to create a unique experience that resonates with your guests, leaving them with the feeling that they witnessed something truly special.

Our signature show, The Witching Hour, requires a few technical elements to deliver its full effect:

- Stage or performance area: Minimum 12’ x 12’ for full stage show, with clear sightlines for the audience.

- Lighting: Basic stage lighting works, but dramatic lighting enhances the theatrical and macabre atmosphere.

- Sound: Access to a PA system for music and microphones is ideal; we provide our own sound for smaller events.

- Electricity: Needed for fog machines and other effects.

- Walk-around performances: Minimal setup; we can perform in any space where guests can gather comfortably.

We work closely with you to ensure every detail, from lighting and sound to staging is customized so your guests enjoy a seamless, immersive, and unforgettable magical experience.
