Mr. Russell’s visit was an enlightening experience that left a lasting impact on our students and staff. It can be difficult to engage teens but his powerful words resonated deeply, reminding us of the incredible resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black individuals throughout history. With unwavering passion, Mr. Russell effortlessly connected the past struggles to present-day challenges and was able to connect with his audience. It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen our kids so engaged! Mr. Russell’s ability to inspire, educate, and empower us to strive for a more equitable and inclusive future was truly remarkable.
