Sarah is a Scottsdale, AZ based composer and pianist with a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition from Arizona State University, where she studied under Steinway artist Walter Cosand and others. Since then, Sarah has taught piano privately and performed as a pianist at the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park as well as locally throughout Phoenix. Creative influences include Baroque, Romantic, and Impressionist composers with an emphasis on works by female composers frequently underrepresented in education and repertoire.

Sarah L. Koehler is a Scottsdale, AZ based composer and pianist. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition from Arizona State University, where she studied under James DeMars. Jody Rockmaker, Rodney Rogers, Walter Cosand, Glen Hackbarth, and Roshanne Etezady. Since then, Sarah has taught piano privately and performed as a pianist at the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park during the 2015 and 2017 Summer seasons, as well as locally throughout Phoenix.
Creative influences include Baroque and Impressionist composers, elements of drama and motion found in nature, and Scriptural text, with an emphasis in works by female composers frequently underrepresented in education and repertoire.
She currently is based out of Arizona and is always open to performance and collaborative opportunities!
