Slay by Saucey Monet

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Terazia Jones also known as “Saucey Monet”, has relished in all aspects of art since birth. She knew she had a gift at the tender age of 7; braiding all the young girls in her neighborhood's hair. Clean and edgy hair & makeup has always been her trademark. Living her life loudly and proudly, she rises to every occasion to creatively express her originality and empower others to celebrate their own kind of beautiful. Her areas of expertise include (but are not limited to) : natural hairstyling, fashion, bridal, theatrical, special effects and lifestyle makeup. Notable examples of her work have been featured in Fashion Week (DC & Baltimore), Glynn Jackson’s ShowBiz Kidz & Golden Scissors Awards, and becoming the makeup artist to radio personality , Michelle “Noodles” Smith of WPFW 89.3FM local . Her proudest career moment thus far has been lending her mastery loc styling skills to rapper T-Pain in preparation for his concert at the University of MD in 2016.

Terazia received her B.S. Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the 1st degree granting HBCU, Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. Immediately following that she enrolled herself at the American Beauty Academy of Wheaton where she perfected her cosmetology skills, graduating from the program with honors. Her training and education provides her clients with a dependable, detail-oriented, and multi-faceted professional that adds to the success of every creative team project she collaborates on.

The name Saucey Monet came about one day when trying to create an alter ego that 1, people can remember and pronounce correctly and 2, spoke to the experience that every client will have with me. Just as "sauce " enhances food, Saucey Monet adds flavor to everyone she encounters.

Saucey says "I refuses to let the beauty industry pigeonhole me into one niche. My brand is a reflection of me , its confident, complex, versatile, rebellious and eye catching all at the same time". At 31, she manages to be a respectable and highly sought after published makeup artist, celebrity hairstylist , influencer and business woman determined to blaze her own path.
