Professionally plucking strings for 5 years now, Skyler has been refining his versatile skills to be an extremely well-rounded guitarist. After performing at places like The Superdome, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Funk Fest, The Maple Leaf, and Tipatina's, Skyler understands not only how to sound really good but also how to be a timely, communicative, and responsible professional. Skyler plays mostly Soul, R&B, Funk, Pop, and Jazz, as well as any requests you may have. Skyler is extremely flexible, easy-going, and open to any gig that may come his way! Thank you for considering Skyler for your event!

September 24, 2026Skyler is a treat. His performance, repertoire, equipment, attitude, punctuality, and skillset was just the ticket.
This event was a midmorning office setting birthday surprise, and Skyler was more than happy to roll with the event timing, sneaking in & setting up. He also went to the trouble of researching, learning and performing a specific song as the blindfolded birthday girl was guided into the room.
Thanks and big kudos to Skyler Phillips!

March 13, 2026Skyler did a phenomenal job performing for this special surprise moment, he was willing to be flexible with the time I needed him to show up, he provided another vocalist to come and help execute a beautiful cover of this modern love by bloc party for my fiance and I, and he even got a bouquet to give to my fiancé afterwards. He is incredibly professional and goes the extra mile to make the moment even more beautiful.

September 15, 2025Skyler played at my dad's memorial service. Although it was a somber day, Skyler really brought out the emotion everyone was feeling with his selection of music and artistic craft.
Since then, I've had the privilege to see him with his band. This guy is destined for stardom. Get him while you can!

January 24, 2025Skyler played solo guitar at my art show and gallery opening. His music set the mood for a great night and it was very special to have live music. He was professional, courteous, on time and easy to work with. The music was amazing! I got a lot of positive feedback from the 60 or more in attendance at the event.

I can perform up to 5 hours of covers, background, ambient, and original instrumental music with discussed break time. I will bring my own gear and sound system and can take care of everything myself basically as long as there's an outlet. I am also very timely and easy to communicate with.
Skyler Phillips is an amazing young guitarist who specializes in solo guitar arranging. He can play all your familiar favorites from Soul, Pop, R&B, Funk, Jazz, and Bossa with a tasteful and original spin on them! His usual setlist is available below and can always take requests. His favorite artists to cover are Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, and The Beatles.
I have a sound system for myself but if there is one at the event please let me know. All I need other than that is a dry, 3ft x3ft space with an outlet.
