With Sky Star Studio, the sky really is the limit and I enjoy painting whatever their imagination dreams up, not just staying to a pre-designed list of options. I can do donation based for community events or be hired for birthday parties, block parties, or private events. ⭐️
I am also a tarot reader and Triple Pisces Psychic. I was passed tarot by an elder in New Orleans and have been reading for 9 years. I use my one of a kind, handmade tarot deck.
I also do live oil painting for weddings, events, shows, festivals.

A great party!

Sky arrived to our party at the perfect time. Just ahead of schedule. She set up and provided hours of great water color drawings for our guests. We were very satisfied. Would highly recommend!

Sky did a Great job on yesterday!

Phenomenal addition to any event

Sky attended our daughter's 5th birthday to do face painting. Not only did Sky never take a break the entire time (2 hours), her artwork skills were above and beyond all parent expectations. This wasn't just a quick thirty second sit down, this was a full make up design on display. All children that attended the event left looking like they were about to jump on stage for a Broadway play. Parents, friends, and family were all left completely astounded by her skills in drawing animals in such detail curating the artwork to each child's face. Thank you Sky!

About

Sky Dai is the 2026 North Carolina Emerging Artist in Residence at Artspace Raleigh. Sky Dai is an emerging artist from Asheville and now living in Raleigh, NC. Sky's oil paintings are inspired by psychic visions, dreams, ceremony, memory, grief, trauma, hope, and healing.
Sky has a BFA in fine arts and creative writing from Columbus College of Art and Design. Sky has received fellowships to be an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center and Ragdale. In 2022, Sky Dai received the Emerging Young Artists Award of Excellence from The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and had their work purchased for the permanent collection on Capitol Hill.
Sky has also worked in childcare for 15 years including nannying, teaching art classes, teaching karate classes, working in daycares, coaching volleyball, volunteering with children with special needs. Sky will be teaching art classes this summer at the Carborro Art Center and at Artspace in Raleigh, NC.
