I have a unique costume, that attracts attention in a different way. As a real-bearded Santa I jingle some bells, and still give a loud Hello and ho ho ho to all in attendance. I try to enter and rove among some tables, greet children and adults alike- we are kids in the moment. Depending on requirements of the event, my available time, sometimes I can stay a little longer. But, with 26 years experience, it has been mentioned that regardless of how many visitors I have, I have the magic to bring some believing back, so that each picture/chat/ opportunity...' seemed like a private ,unique memory for each person. Good age guesser, and understand different cultural celebrations people practice in and around Christmas.

Came to BC from Ontario in 1996. Started as a designer beard Santa, with a very tacky- 'store-bought' suit for 10 years before moving 'West' to Vancouver. Got my first custom designed 'suit' with the idea of playing saxophone and entertaining all folks at Christmas. Santa Cool [ designer beard, was how I started in British Columbia.
Then , my second suit, 2001 and present back-up suit-2010 were custom designed for an 'old-world' look, for basic portraits and visits with Santa .
I am a published Santa. I wrote a short story for a collection of Santa Stories compiled from real Santas' by a sports' author known as Charlie Jones.
As well around this time my Santa life was impacted deeply after reading another book called Santa's Gift, which tells of Santa America-who visits' children on Acute Care wards.
Since then, I have maintained to try to keep the 'greed' out of my hobby-business...but the reality of life; I have to charge a little more, so I am able to do this for the short, 6 week season, and still sleep at night ~
