Richard Middleton has been a professional musician for over 25 years. He got his start early, with his first song airing on local radio at 18. When Richard was 20, he formed a band with Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Bob Burns and later recorded three albums with renowned producer John Keane (R.E.M., Widespread Panic). With a catalog of over 250 songs, Richard brings new life to classics from the ’60s to the 2000s, covering artists like The Allman Brothers, Tom Petty, Van Morrison and John Mayer with his soulful voice and seasoned musicianship. Richard was incredible for our event!!!! We hosted a client appreciation event, and so many clients commented on how great he sounded and his song choices. People even want to hire him for personal parties they want to throw. He was the perfect addition to our event. My only regret is not taking pictures and videos to add to this review. We plan to hire him every year!!

Richard Middleton has been performing music professionally for over 25 years. When Richard was 20, he started a band with original Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Bob Burns—best known for his work on iconic tracks like “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Freebird.” After earning his degree from the University of Georgia, Richard went on to work as a featured singer aboard Carnival Cruise Lines, honing his live performance skills in front of diverse audiences. An accomplished songwriter and recording artist, Richard has written and recorded three albums with renowned producer John Keane, whose credits include R.E.M., Widespread Panic, Indigo Girls, Billy Bragg, and B-52’s. He has also performed live alongside John Bell (JB) of Widespread Panic, further solidifying his place in the Southern rock and Americana music scenes. On his single "From Carolina," Richard is joined by acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Randal Bramblett on grand piano. Bramblett, known for his work with artists like Bonnie Raitt, Steve Winwood, and Gregg Allman, adds a rich, soulful depth to the track, showcasing the caliber of musicianship that surrounds Richard’s original work. Middleton performs a wide-ranging selection of cover songs by iconic artists such as The Allman Brothers Band, Tom Petty, Van Morrison, The Grateful Dead, James Taylor, Warren Haynes, The Eagles, and many more—offering audiences a familiar and heartfelt musical journey through decades of classic rock, folk, and Americana.
