Sinclair Serenade

While I did not have the absolute joy of having them perform at our wedding, I did get the unique experience of having Justin write a custom song for my husband as a surprise for our first dance! Working with Justin was so fun, and he worked with me to create a truly unique piece of music that has become a soundtrack for our love story. He took all of the pieces of our journey I gave him and crafted something truly unforgettable for our special day! Having heard both Justin and Joy perform I can vouch that they are an exceptional duo and will make your wedding a truly beautiful experience.

This review is a bit unique from an event performance, but hopefully it gives you a beautiful look into the wonderful couple you’re considering. Justin and Joy are incredible, heartfelt songwriterswith the instrumentation and melody to match. I was trying to think of the perfect gift to give my wife for her birthday, and I commissioned Justin to write a song for her. He took the time and care to really understand our story, how we met, what the major themes of our lives were, what really made us unique as a couple. And he delivered an absolutely gorgeous song that truly captured our experience together, both in lyric and tone. I handed my wife the headphones and watched tears fill her eyes as Justin’s music filled her ears. Thanks Justin, for all that you do, for your true talent and art. We’re so thankful to always have a little piece that’s truly our own.

We used Sinclar Serenade for our wedding in 2022 and absolutely LOVED them! Initially I hired them to play an original song for my husband and I at our first look, but also had them play a hymn during our ceremony, and some background music. They were thoughtful, attentive, and easy to work with. Justin helped me think through some of the logistics for the hymn during the ceremony, which was really helpful. I commissioned Justin to write an original song as an anniversary gift to my husband and it remains the best gift I've ever been able to give. Justin's process reflects his organic, easy-going yet deeply intentional style; out of my sometimes chaotic, sprawling answers to his questions, he managed to write a song that intimately reflected my husband and I as a couple. He's lyrically gifted. He and Joy are special people, and they treat every person, event and performance as appropriately special as well. Also, they sound great. ;)
