Balloons usually pop when they touch the grass or concrete. For parties at parks from mid-June through August, Silly Jilly usually recommends her fun and entertaining magic shows and/or walk-around entertainment. When Silly Jilly gets compliments like, "My daughter can't stop talking about you," or "I have never seen Molly laugh so hard," this is when the kids witness Silly Jilly's non-balloon antics, for example, when Silly Jilly thinks a diaper is a beautiful hat, or the kids see her comedy magic show.

FOR LARGE EVENTS, INCLUDING FAIRS
Silly Jilly will (with your agreement) have a sign listing about 12 choices. (She has gotten compliments on her sign from parents, saying a long list is too confusing for the children.) Examples kids choose from include: a sword, a unicorn wand, a flower bracelet, and a dinosaur. She'll be talking with the kids and looking at them as she twists, and when there are fewer than five kids in line, occasionally "accidentally" letting the balloon go. The kids think letting the balloon go is hilarious.
Especially at large events, it’s not about Silly Jilly showing off how fancy she can make the sculptures. It’s about keeping the line happy and also increasing the number of kids who meet a clown. However, if you prefer, she can do the fancy balloons making almost whatever the kids want, for example, Tweety Bird in a cage, and if there are fifteen kids in line, that fifteenth kid will wait about an hour for the sculpture with six balloons. At almost all large events, Silly Jilly would put a maximum of two balloons in each sculpture, and the fifteenth kid in line would only wait about twenty minutes and would get to watch Silly Jilly do some enjoyable gags.

PRESCHOOL MAGIC AND/OR BALLOONS
Childcare centers book Silly Jilly the Clown year after year.
Silly Jilly arrives about ten minutes before showtime to set up and greet the children with a few silly gags. Then comes the magic show lasting about 30–35 minutes, filled with giggles and surprises. That is her 45-minute price of $215.
As a school discount, she'll visit a few of the three-and-older classrooms if you’d like. During these short visits, she'll answer questions, repeat a favorite part of the show, or pose for photos. The kids absolutely love it when Silly Jilly comes into their classroom, and one teacher even posted that the classroom visit was the best part of her appearance! Silly Jilly used to think a longer show would be better, but she has learned that these short classroom visits are a huge hit.
If you’d like to extend the fun, she can also make balloon animals or lead a balloon workshop after the show.
Or book Silly Jilly to do balloon animals only and no magic show. She'll make small balloons, consisting of two balloons per sculpture, which take slightly more than one minute to make. However, allow 2 minutes for Silly Jilly to introduce herself and pass out balloons and stickers. Larger childcare centers may wish to book a longer visit to include all three-year-old and older classrooms, and possibly the two-year-olds as well.
For smaller preschools with one classroom and 20 or fewer students, the fee for the meet-and-greet, magic show, and short follow-up visit is $180 (approximately 40 minutes).

Silly Jilly is prompt and will be at your booked party even if she gets an offer for a higher-paying gig.

Book Silly Jilly for $215 for the first 45 minutes and $35 for each additional 15 minutes.

Silly Jilly began clowning in 1994 after enrolling in a continuing education clown class, which she joined just for fun on Thursday nights. She enjoyed it so much that it evolved into a career of entertaining kids. Remembering and creating balloon animals came easily to her, and over the past 31 years, she's made balloons at restaurants almost every week and performed at more than 100 events each year (except in 2020).
Her favorite part of the job? Getting kids to laugh hysterically!
