Sidetracked features veteran Austin bluesman Marcus Tharpe on vocals, Nathan Hanners on guitar, Richard Radbil on bass and Jamie Krueger on drums. Marcus was born in Detroit, MI but moved to Memphis, TN at an early age where he started singing at age nine. Marcus says that he was "born in Motown and raised by the Memphis sound." Reflecting Marcus' varied influences, the band's setlist contains tunes like "Knock on Wood" to "You Don't Love Me," and has been likened to a tour through blues history.
The blues is a living and ever-changing genre, and Sidetracked respects blues history while putting on a rockin' show.

November 18, 2024These guys are really really good! That's what I heard over and over again at my wedding! We danced , we sang with them and they made our wedding fantastic ! They are super nice people aside from being very professional musicians! I would choose them to play at my next event in heartbeat! I am so glad we choose them for our wedding!

October 13, 2023Richard with Sidetracked could not have been any easier to work with for our event. We decided to move the band outside in a large planter area with mats to make better use of our space and they were happy to accommodate us. The music was so perfect for our event; people were swaying and shaking their hips and really FEELING the music. We look forwards to having them back in the future!

We have our own PA if needed.
We will arrive approximately one hour before our start time unless you request otherwise.
We can adjust our volume level according to the needs of the event. We can play softly in the background or rock out--whatever you need!
We do not require any special treatment--beverages and/or food are totally up to you and we do not expect either.
We are always respectful of our hosts, the venue and our audience.
