You’ll hear a rich blend of classic rock, alt rock, progressive rock, funk, blues, new wave with hints of raggae and jazz—all reimagined as compelling instrumental tracks. While some songs stay close to the original, others are creatively reworked and arranged giving familiar tunes a fresh, live feel.
Professionally produced backing tracks are used to create a full-band sound—powerful enough to energize a room, yet flexible enough to fit intimate settings. Whether you want background ambiance or center-stage entertainment, Side Light can adjust the volume to match your event’s needs, ensuring great music without overpowering conversation.

A microphone is available for when needed.
Music is chosen from a predetermined set list. Songs that are not in the set list can not be performed. Music that has not been rehearsed or that backing tracks are not available for can not be performed.
PRO licensing is needed for public business performances and is generally covered by the venue organizing the event or activity. Private party and private event organizers need not concern themselves with this.

Note: Original compositions may be included as substitutions or for extended performances. This will of course be done sparingly as Side Light performances are focused more on familiarity.
There are many influences and genres that have inspired me over the years.
Side Light features several songs by The Police and Rush. Songs by Journey, Van Halen, STP, RHCP, Hendrix and Clapton are also included.

A power outlet is needed. 1 standard 110 VAC electrical outlet dedicated for this use is preferred. 2 dedicated outlets on separate breakers may be needed if a larger PA and or significant lighting is needed.
At least a 6ft x 9ft space is desired. I can work out of a corner too but still need at least 45-50 square feet of floor space to make it work. That could be a little less if I can make use of a house sound system.
Overhead cover may be needed if performing outdoors.
Access to a restroom.
