As a seasoned violinist with 20 years under my belt, I have felt the impact of violin music which is why I've created Shirley's Strings.
I believe in an authentic and raw sound which is why I've chosen to not use backing tracks or accompaniments. This choice has empowered me to deliver a vulnerable and deep sound that I am passionate about.
I proudly play at weddings of all kinds, including LGBTQ+ weddings as well as other events such as celebrations of life, elopements, business dinners, and more!
Over the years I have earned recognition at state competitions, led as concertmaster in an orchestra, and performed multiple solo recitals throughout my career.

From the first message, I strive to make the entire booking and performance process seamless. You can request a date on my website: (link hidden) From there I will contact you within 24 hours to discuss the details of your event (including any song requests), and finally I will send over a contract. Then leave the rest to me! I show up 30 min before the event to ensure a stress free setup, and a magical event. I look forward to working with you!
Performing is my absolute favorite part of playing the violin! I am classically trained, and I have been playing for nearly 20 years.
I have spent years cultivating a deep, emotional, and classic sound that permeates any event hall. I bring this same rich sound to any genre I play whether it be classical or pop music. I look forward to enhancing your event with these characteristics!
I bring everything I need with me. All I ask is enough space for myself and a stand for setup. I do have specific temperature requirements: I cannot play in temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
