Shine On, The Live Pink Floyd Experience

“To the delight of my inner child, the band played a few songs off the Dark Side Of The Moon album. “Speak To Me/Breathe In The Air” featured guitarist Glen Hall‘s perfectly executed lap steel guitar. Closing my eyes, I was transported back to my youthful dream world. And then jolted by resounding alarm clocks as the band, complete with precise loop effects began the song “Time.” Bill Lawrence did an excellent job on the intro with drum triggers and pads to create the same multi-tuned Tom echoes heard on the album. Again, I must tip my hat to the lead guitarist Aaron Broering for bringing the Gilmore passion to the song. To wrap up their tribute to Dark Side, Forbes appeared again, this time on the Tenor alone, delivering an exquisite solo on the song “Money.” The band then revisited The Wall album playing “Young lust.” I was impressed with keyboardist Robin Canada who did a stellar job laying down some bluesy piano riffs.”

Shine On The Live Pink Floyd Experience has been wowing audiences for over 20 years. With it’s
eleven-piece ensemble modeled after Pink Floyd’s last two touring bands, they are able to capture
the near orchestral soundscape that is the Pink Floyd live experience. Each song has been
meticulously crafted down to every detail by the seasoned musicians and delivered with passion
and excellence.
Shine On regularly does “Dark Side of the Moon” start to finish and has also performed Pink Floyd’s
acclaimed ”Wish You Were Here” album in its entirety, plus a compelling medley of Pink Floyd’s
rock classic, “The Wall” is anchored in every show. In addition, greatest hits and fan favorites from
Pink Floyd’s Animals, A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell albums are well
represented..
This passionate group of artists with a genuine appreciation of Pink Floyd’s amazing contribution of
great music that has stood the test of time and popularity over many generations captivates a wide
audience, both the young and old. Shine On, not content with the usual moniker of “Tribute Band,”
prefer to describe themselves as “The Live Pink Floyd Experience.” With that in mind, each
performance is truly an Experience to remember.

Shine On is an eleven piece band, and requires ample space to set up and perform. We use a Behringer in-ear monitor system so, no floor monitors are required. We generally provide our own mics, stands, snakes and cables. If the house PA is able to accommodate our inputs we can use that. If the house PA is not able to accommodate our inputs we can provide an ample sound system for an additional cost.

We also have scripted and themed video that is performed with the show if the venue can accommodate that. Generally two large screens on the sides of the stage work well. Optimally, one large screen behind the band and two screens on each side of the band works best.
