What to expect
Your guests will not just watch live art being created, they will learn to draw with sunlight and participate in completing a one-of-a-kind commemorative work of art.
A magnifying glass will be used to concentrate the Sun's energy into one single point, creating a handheld mini laser used to burn intricate designs into wood. Everyone will naturally be drawn in as they watch the transformation unfold—light becoming line, heat becoming art. The process is both visually captivating and deeply memorable, creating an organic gathering point within your event.

* Daytime galas and charity fundraisers

About
My name is Shari "SharStar" Afflick, I am a Bahamian Jamaican pyrography artist based in South Florida, and I draw with sunlight. Instead of the typical electrical pen or lasers that are used for most pyrography artwork, I prefer the powerful alchemical process of harnessing the Sun with a magnifying glass, time, and patience to create powerful works of art infused with solar energy. My work blends creativity, mindfulness, and intention—transforming meaningful moments into one-of-a-kind solar art.
While I have no formal art education, I have been a lifelong creative ever since childhood. What began as an experiment with solar pyrography over 13 years ago has evolved into a passion, I now have the pleasure of sharing with others. Through both personal and professional experience, I’ve seen the impact this practice can have—not only as a creative outlet, but as a powerful tool for meditation, spiritual connection, and overall well-being.
In addition to live experiences for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations, I offer guided workshops, private classes, and creative wellness experiences centered on mindfulness, self-expression, and inner child healing. I am also the founder of the "Sun Scribe Tribe", a growing community dedicated to teaching solar pyrography as a tool for healing, creativity, and personal empowerment.
