Hi there!
My name is Vickie, and I entertain at birthday parties, corporate events, grand openings, and the like, as a singer, guitarist, face painter, and balloon twister. Although I specialize in kids' birthday parties and singing telegrams, I have worked at all different kinds of events, venues, and gatherings. I have a variety of costumes and can dress as anything from a clown to a princess! I am also in touch with other very talented performers (jugglers, balloon twisters, fire spinners, magicians), and would be happy to help you book them as well. August 30, 2018Our face painter/balloon twister was very flexible with his time because he had to do both, so the first hour he was face painting and the rest of the time he was doing balloon twisting. He was very fast and he worked really well with us.

July 24, 2018I was at a kid's birthday party last year and saw Vickie there. She was so good that I I booked her for our kid's birthday party this year. Vickie is so sweet, professional and organized. The kids loved her. Vickie did face painting and sang kids songs and played the guitar!! Several people at the party asked me where I found her! For singing telegrams, you can hire me to surprise your friends and family with a song...or several! I am open to singing a song/songs of your choosing, as well as dressing up however you'd prefer. I love doing singing telegrams, so I am even open to writing a whole new song for your loved one! I have done this before, and it goes over very well. Having a whole new song penned will require additional time as well as a higher fee, but I promise I will put my whole heart into it. You may even listen to the song first if you choose.
For kids' birthday parties, I typically come out first as the character of choice and greet, hug, as well as take pictures with the kids. If there are theme songs, I will sing and play them on the guitar or a karaoke track and have the kids sing along. After that, I face paint, balloon twist, and/or put temporary tattoos on the children (usually it is just face painting, but I can throw the other two in for an additional charge, or I can bring a balloon twister and/or magician so that we have two people). At the end of the party, I typically sing happy birthday with the family (if it is a birthday), and stay for the cake cutting and more pictures.
For corporate gatherings, I get set up and typically face paint for the entirety of the event.
Let me know if you'd like to change things around! This is just the general repertoire I typically whip out at parties. I am of course always open to learning and improving, so if there is another way you'd like to do things, we can do that instead!
I have always been a performer at heart! I have played piano since the age of 5, and started writing songs in my teenage years. Although I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, and a concentration in Music, as well as a Masters in Elementary Education, I have always come back to performance. My education degree has come in handy as I am typically found performing at children's birthday parties. I never tire of meeting, inspiring, and becoming inspired by families and children, so I love traveling to shows and performing at them.
