Shannon Bishop is a highly rated professional belly dancer and instructor. Through her dance school, Black Cat Belly Dance, Shannon offers multi-level instruction in belly dance, specializing in Egyptian styles of belly dance in the Central PA area.
As a soloist, Shannon is the featured dancer at several local establishments in the State College area. She is a highly sought after performer for weddings, birthday parties and other special events, and will work with you to customize a performance for your special day. She is also the Artistic Director of Black Cat Belly Dance.

What to expect
Shannon will provide a unique and dynamic belly dance performance, tailored for your special event. From a quick 10-15 minute mini show to a full wedding set, Shannon will work with you to create an event that your guests will never forget. Shannon is available for wedding showers, bachelorette parties, sweet 16s, birthday and anniversary parties or for any special event.
(Shannon will not perform at any all male functions.)
About
Shannon Bishop has been teaching Middle Eastern dance since 2006. Specializing in both Egyptian and American styles of belly dance, her classes cover belly dance technique as well as cultural & historical information, musicality and choreography, finger cymbal technique, improvisational skills and the use of many belly dance props.
Shannon is a well respected performer in the region, and her shows are always elegant and fun, and appropriate for the entire family. She performs regularly at festivals across the East Coast, and is the house dancer at several establishments within Centre County.
