My poetry capabilities are very wide and diverse. Being a professional workshop tutor, I am able to cater to whatever the event needs. Holiday event? I can have Holiday performance poems specific to the Holiday ready in an impressive feature right on time for your event. Wedding? I got you covered there too. Social Justice or fundraiser? My poetry pockets run deep - I can do performance poetry from all ends of the spectrum.
Need a live painter? You won't have to search further, I can do both! Need flyers for your event? I am a graphic designer too!

Shane Manier is a local artist, live painter, spoken word poet and graphic designer based in NC. She is the founder of the activist/outreach art collective Guerilla Poets with branches in the US and UK. As a poet and artist, she has been featured at many shows, events and venues all across North Carolina and completed many outreach programs and projects as an activist. Currently she is the Spoken Word Teaching Instructor for Behailu Arts Academy, Henderson High School, serves on the board for CCAG Artists Collective in Cornelius North Carolina and has recently released her first chapbook "The Fallen Heroes of the Awful Waffle" published by Main Street Rag. Her spoken word album "Bootstraps" is also available to purchase. She has served on the Poetry Council of NC from (phone number hidden)2 as the youngest poet ever to be inducted and is also on the Respect Da Mic slam team for 2017 and 2018. 

Her poetry is widely known for it’s passion and strong themes that range from personal topics, politics, social justice issues, and powerful inspirational pieces that expose and bond the core of humanity.

She is also one of the very few North Carolina live speed painters in the Charlotte/Metro area. Although her work isn’t always a speed painting, she spends most of her time capturing moments in her art before they quickly pass. An Ultimate Painting Finalist for Regional Championship, she has also competed in live speed painting competitions and has art hanging in various locations in the Tri-city area.

Most local musicians, especially in Kannapolis / Concord and Salisbury, have purchased live speed painting portraits from her and have even come up with a slogan since so many of them have a piece of her collection of their own
“It’s a shame if you don’t have a Shane”. She loves showing the light within other people when they are in their element, and works to capture that expression in every speed painting requiring instinct and passion.

For Spoken Word performances depending upon attendance and space I may need an amp and mic. If you don't have one, no worries! I have equipment.

For Live Painting performances, I bring all my own equipment (canvas, tarp, easel, paints and brushes)

For Workshops and Painting Parties, I can provide all materials and up to 2 fold out tables. Will need chairs and more tables if attendance is high.
