There’s a reason why I still have Candy as my lead guitarist! From ripping guitar solos to dynamic audience engagement that pulls everyone in, Candy doesn’t just play the part, she owns it. Give her a time frame to learn the material and she’ll provide with more than just your typical session gig! There’s so many guitarists in the area, but very few can provide authenticity and raw talent. Candy is one of the few that can do that!

Her style of playing is extremely unique where she delivers quality musicianship and always on point based on years of experience, playing, and practicing her skills. I have had the pleasure of photographing her live music set several times in 2024 and 2025 with numerous local LA Bands. Candy Z is hardworking and passionate about her craft and music and loves what she does. Her passion and hard work can also be seen with her dedication at school studying and honing her craft at the renowned Musicians Institute of Hollywood. What comes to your mind when you hear the word candy? Perchance, a myriad of flavored sweets enveloped in colorful foils? My name is Candy, and I embody these diverse flavors through my various roles as a session guitarist, independent artist, music educator, and Mandarin tutor.
I am a professional session guitarist with extensive experience performing at a range of events, including bars, restaurants, and weddings. I am mainly influenced by indie rock, pop punk, emo, hard rock, classic rock and blues genera. In my leisure time, I am passionate about songwriting and the creation of pop music. I approach my craft with diligence and a steadfast commitment to excellence. When entrusted with a song, I devote myself to mastering it, ensuring that I deliver the highest quality of performance that you seek. My extroverted and amiable disposition fosters a collaborative working relationship, and I offer a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs.
I have a profound passion for working with children. Since my middle school years, I have been engaged in tutoring young learners across various fields, including music, language, and academics, and I have continued this endeavor throughout my life. I am a professional guitarist currently majoring in performance guitar at the Musicians Institute. I possess the patience necessary to work effectively with children, and I firmly believe that the most effective teaching approach involves making the learning experience enjoyable.
