Whether they’re rocking out with powerful guitar riffs, laying down smooth bluesy grooves, or delivering pop melodies that get stuck in your head, Serial Chillers never fail to captivate their listeners. Their passion for music and their commitment to delivering high-energy performances make them a standout act in the local music scene.
BJ Cherryholmes
A five-time Grammy nominee and winner of the 2005 IBMA Entertainers of the Year with the bluegrass band Cherryholmes, BJ Cherryholmes has been a professional touring musician from childhood. BJ currently tours with David Crowder Music (since 2016) as electric guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and all-around utility player. BJ’s versatile playing style and depth of experience adds a unique flavor to the Serial Chillers’ rock, blues, and pop fusion.
Tyson Bryant
Growing up in a musical family, Tyson Bryant learned multiple instruments and became a lifelong church musician. He toured the pacific northwest 90’s era coffee house circuit with the band Dirt Merchants, was a regular cajon and mandolin clinician at Christian Musician Summit, and has been a contributing columnist for Worship Musician Magazine. Tyson’s diverse skill set and powerful, gritty vocals are integral to the band’s sound, making each performance memorable.
Jed Bennett
Taught piano by his father at an early age, Jed Bennett later migrated to drums and picked up guitar. He played drums in the blues band “Blues Bound Train” and drummed and played bass in metal and pop punk bands “Graphic Recon” and “One Hit Wonder.” Deciding to focus on piano, Jed started a YouTube channel and began playing in church, where he practiced keys and became motivated to learn how to play keys in a band. “Serial Chillers forced me to expand on my skills and further develop as a keyboard player,” says Jed.
Craig Connor
Craig has been playing music for as long as he can remember, starting with makeshift drum sets in his room. He played along to bands like Journey, REO Speedwagon, Def Leppard, the Eagles, and Bon Jovi. As he grew up, Craig joined a band, became captain of the drumline, and was heavily involved in the jazz band, even being offered a jazz scholarship. He has mostly played in the church scene since he was 15. His musical taste is wide-ranging, from Chris Stapleton to Mark Morrison to Michael Bublé and Michael Jackson. As the band’s drummer, Craig’s energetic and precise drumming drives the rhythm and keeps the audience engaged.
