What to expect
A professional act. I try to keep the audience engaged and make them part of the show. In addition to the "normal" kinds of songs, I have a large repitoir of comedy tunes ( mostly mine ) that I can break out as well.
A multi- instrumentalist , I'll play banjo and mandolin in addition to acoustic and electric guitars. You won't get bored with my show!
About
Scott Marshall is a singer/multi-instrumentalist/ songwriter.
Scott has performed at the Bluebird Café in Nashville and on the NashvilleEar songwriter stage for a 30 minute set of original songs.
A member of Tennessee Songwriter Association International , his song "Read Your Bible" ( co-written with Tommy Brandt ) was selected for the TSAI Cares album ( for charity ).
Scott`s shows have a retro country feel ( think Buck Owens ). His own songs invoking the "Bakersfield Sound" with favorite covers from that genre including Buck , Dwight Yoakum , and the Derailers.
A multi-instrumentalist , he also employs the banjo for at least a couple of uptempo bluegrass songs per set( everybody LOVES the banjo! )
And last , but certainly not least , Scott injects a lot of humor into his shows ala Rodney Carrington with a variety of comedy/novelty songs
